Tuolumne River Regional Park to get new playground

MODESTO - The Tuolumne River Regional Park (TRRP) will be receiving new play equipment this week as volunteers from area Hispanic Youth Leadership Clubs (HYLC) will be assembling and installing replacement play equipment in the play area east of Tioga Drive.

The current play equipment was originally installed in 1978 and has since been subject to deterioration and vandalism, resulting in the removal of most of it. The style and look of the new play equipment will be a 'first' for TRRP and the City of Modesto and will include climbing nets, spinners, see-saw, balancing pods, small climbing wall, slides and other play structures for youth bewteen the ages of 2 and 12.
