Stanislaus County to honor education employees

STANISLAUS COUNTY - The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Stanislaus Charter will honor outstanding classified (non-supervisory) education employees in the county through the "Employees Making a Difference" program for the fourth year in a row.

Twenty-six outstanding staff members will be honored at a special reception on Tuesday, Jan. 18 from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Peterson Event Center, located at 720 12th Street in Modesto.

School districts throughout the county selected their own honorees and forwarded nominations to SCOE.

Family: Modesto man missing since December

 

MODESTO - Family and friends of local resident 26-year-old William "Wille" Elgen are desperately looking for any clues as to where he might be located. Elgen was last seen at his family's cabin in Twain Harte on Dec. 29, 2010.

He is described as 6 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 180-200 pounds.
