A 3-year-old child was ejected from a vehicle after the vehicle's 68-year-old driver lost control while driving in Modesto.

The single crash happened at around 10 a.m. on Yosemite Boulevard and South Morton Boulevard, according to Modesto police spokesperson Heather Graves. The vehicle struck several objects before it ejected the child and came to a stop just off the roadway.

Graves said the woman, later identified as Elvira Yearwood, and the child, were both taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries and continue to receive treatment.
