Aerospace Museum celebrates Armed Forces Day with FREE admission & open cockpit activities

On Saturday, May 21, 2016 the Aerospace Museum of California will be holding an Open Cockpit Day from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with FREE admission to all.  Wells Fargo Bank is sponsoring this event to honor our military service veterans.

More than 20 aircraft will be open for viewing and for many of those aircraft guests can sit in the cockpit and imagine flying a mission.  Crew chiefs will be at the aircraft to talk about the history and missions of each aircraft that is open.  Docents will be in the museum to answer questions and talk about our exhibits.

There will also be representatives from the George “Spanky” Roberts Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen; the Mather Modelers are bringing various types of model airplanes, and WW II re-enactors will present displays.  Also, the popular Flight Zone will be open to view and for a minimal $5 charge visitors from 5th grade on up and adults can experience a 15 minute flight lesson.
