At least 300 people turned out to celebrate companies including Amazon for its new fulfillment Center in Tracy with more than 1,000 employees, Trinchero Family Estates for a $300 million expansion of its Lodi winery and Delicato Family Vineyards, the Manteca- area winery that has been here for more than 90 years.

Nine companies that been in operation in San Joaquin County for 50 or more years were honored at the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce 50th Annual Industrial & Technology Barbeque last night at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel in downtown Stockton. Fourteen companies that recently located to or expanded in the county will also be honored. Pacific Gas & Electric Company presented a special "Green Award" to Wilmar Oils & Fats LLC; recognizing the company's recent efforts in energy efficiency through the installation of eight energy efficiency measures to reduce the plants electricity and natural gas consumption.

The Chamber annually honors those industrial companies, such as manufacturers and logistics providers that meet or exceed two of the following criteria: 20 new jobs to San Joaquin County, 20,000 square feet of new or expanded space or $1 million in capital investment.

Founding sponsors are: San Joaquin Partnership which assisted many of the companies in their expansions and locations, Pacific Gas & Electric, San Joaquin County Economic Development Association and Stockton Chamber of Commerce. "Collectively, the new and expanded companies represent 1989 new jobs, 3.8 million square feet and approximately $866 million in capital investment in this county," said Mike Ammann, San Joaquin Partnership President & CEO.

50-year honorees were AT&T, Collins Electrical Company, Delicato Family Vineyards, Eckert Cold Storage, Guntert & Zimmerman, J.R. Simplot Company, JM Eagle, Lodi Iron Works and Penny Newman Grains, Inc. New companies to be honored were: Amazon, Asset Management Solutions, Cephied, Crothall Healthcare, DTE Energy, Menlo Worldwide Logistics, NEMO Building systems, Regenesys Glass Processing and Wilmar Oils & Fats LLC. Expanded companies honored were: Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizers, Central Plastics & Manufacturing, Glassfab Tempering Services, Trinchero Family Estates and Turkhan Foods Inc.
